Lemon brownies sound like a refreshing summer dessert that would melt in my mouth. I like normal brownies, but this would be such a kind twist to try a citrusy yet fudgy brownie. The bright yellow of this lemon brownie reminds me of lemon bars, and they look super soft and moist. How Tasty’s tutorial on YouTube is fast and simple to follow along with. I can only imagine the smell of these brownies from the fresh lemon zest and juice. These lemon brownies reminds me of the lemon pound cake slices from Starbucks, and they’re my favorite. This recipe is something I am excited for because it’s not a difficult recipe at all, and I have most ingredients in my pantry.
- 3 Eggs (use very yellow yolk eggs to obtain yellow brownies)
- 2/3 cup White Sugar
- Zest of 2-3 Lemon
- 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 oz White Chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 ½ tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice (about 1 ½ lemon)
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
- About 2-3 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice (add small by small)

Next, once the lemon brownies are finished baking in the oven and cooled down, evenly glaze the brownie’s top using a spatula. Allow the glaze to set for about 30 minutes before cutting.
Note: if you want fudgy and dense brownies use a whisk and don’t incorporate too much air; if you prefer cakey brownies, use a hand mixer to incorporate air.
I prefer fudgy and dense brownies, and the lemon brownies in this video look very wealthy. It amazes me how great the brownies look, and the lemon glaze sets so smooth on top.
