- 2 lb butternut squash or pumpkin (if using canned pumpkin puree use 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 cup milk, lukewarm
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 medium egg
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour

First, prepare the butternut squash or pumpkin. If you’re using genuine and fresh pumpkin or butternut squash, dice them into small squares. Transfer them to a baking sheet and bake them for 30-40 minutes at 446F. Check the pumpkin or butternut squash after 30 minutes. Puree with a food processor or use a fork and spoon to smash them together.
Next, prepare the dough and once alert, divide into 15 portions. Roll each into a ball, then create the pumpkin shape by flattening the dough balls and dipping a pair of scissors tip into the oil.
