I am so proud of Ms. Donna Jordan for winning the blue ribbon at the county fair for this astonishing quilt. County fairs in our fabulous country are the backbone of many communities. Citizens from far and wide bring arts and crafts, regional foods, and prize-winning crops, and livestock to the county fair. The highest honor is a blue ribbon, and this quilt is a large winner. Donna Jordan is my all-time favorite quilter on Youtube, and her company Jordan Fabrics is a complete quilting wonderland. Donna is so down to Earth and really explains quilting in a way we can all easily seek.  I am always on the lookout for a modern quilt pattern idea, so when I saw this phenomenal blue ribbon quilt video tutorial by Donna Jordan on Youtube, I knew I needed to make it. As usual, Donna does not disappoint, she offers her tips and advice to make this lovely quilt idea as simple as possible. I love quilting all year round, but making what will become family heirlooms in the around the time of the state fair is very important to me because that is my favorite time of year. I love seeing the red, white, and blue reflected in all of my summer art projects.

  • A couple of yards of a solid fabric
  • Thread
